Medical grade honey
Medical grade honey
Medical grade honey is not common knowledge to the average folk.
Most people aren’t even aware that they are medical grade things at all, but honey is especially weird, however given its history it's not all that strange.
Honey was used as a treatment for many things throughout history, however with the medical field evolving there were new elements created and more drug options made. As a result honey was not as prevalent in the new age and so as a result it doesn't come up as a treatment option many times, but it is still incredibly helpful if you're in a pinch.
Honey was most commonly used to treat wounds and such issues but as there are more ointments available it's not as viable as other options however, if you simply don’t care to spend money then honey is the most affordable healthcare there is for non serious things.
For instance honey is commonly used to soothe a sore throat while sick and helps lessen a brutal cough, another thing it can do is hinder seasonal allergies, it works sort of a like a claritin, an while either option is fine some people choose to use honey instead as in the long run it is better for your liver. Going back to the medical grade honey however, this honey is classified as medical grade due to being treated by gamma radiation and as a result can prevent bacteria growth in the wounds that it's meant to treat. Therefore honey has its uses today despite the dwindling use of it, it perseveres.
