Raw honey questions, answered
Is your honey raw?
Yes. Our honey is raw and never pasteurized, so it keeps the natural character of the flowers it came from. It is strained to remove wax but never ultra-filtered.
Is Topanga Quality Honey organic and kosher?
Yes. Our honey is organic and kosher across our whole range, including single-variety honeys, honeycomb, honey sticks and gift sets.
How much does shipping cost?
Orders of $50 or more ship free to the continental US. Orders under $50 ship for a flat $9.95. Shipping to Alaska and Hawaii is calculated at checkout. Orders are processed within 1-2 business days, excluding weekends and holidays.
Do you offer a discount for buying more than one?
Yes. You get 10% off when you buy 2 or more jars, honey bears, honey sticks or honeycomb. The discount is applied automatically at checkout.
Why did my honey crystallize?
Raw honey naturally crystallizes over time. It is still good to eat. Set the jar in a bowl of warm (not hot) water and stir until it turns liquid again.
Which honey should I choose?
Light honeys such as sage, cactus, clover and orange blossom are mild and great in tea and for everyday use. Dark honeys such as avocado, eucalyptus and buckwheat are bolder and shine in baking, marinades and on cheese boards. Our honey varieties guide compares them side by side.
Can babies eat honey?
No. Do not feed honey or honeycomb to infants under 12 months old.
What if my order arrives damaged?
Because honey is a food product, we do not accept returns. If your order arrives damaged, defective or incorrect, email orders@topangaqualityhoney.com with your order number and a photo, and we will make it right.
